Copilotless's thesis is that building general purpose Self-Driving Cars requires 3 key innovations that no other company is pursuing together:
1) Building on Open-Source Vision Language Action (VLA) models as the foundation for driving, substantially reducing training CapEx;
2) Crowd-Sourcing Data from taxi drivers (partnering with them rather than competing) across multiple cities worldwide via dash-cam footage;
3) Utilizing Out-Of-Distribution driving data from emerging economies where chaotic and unpredictable conditions act as proxies for adversarial training & edge-case scenario testing.
These 3 pillars combined with our novel revenue model enable us to develop lower-cost self-driving vehicles as RoboTaxis deployable in any city in the World, beginning with LatinAmerica.
